A fun-packed part of this year’s Newport Halloween festivities will include the popular Canis Minor 8^th Annual Pet Parade. Scheduled for Saturday, October 26 from 12 PM to 3 PM, pets – and their owners – are invited to participate. Canis Minor will be providing its premises, at 31 River Dr, to make sure guests remain warm and cozy while waiting for the 2 PM main event: The Parade. Sponsors  include Stella & Chewy’s and The Honest Kitchen that will be distributing samples and providing a range of information about healthy and natural pet foods. They also will be holding a seminar on the benefits of raw foods. Judging for Parade contestants will be held at 2:30 PM, but all are invited to come early for food and drink, while swapping pet anecdotes and tall “tails.”  $25 gift card  prizes to Canis Minor will be awarded for best in show, best matching costume. A special “people’s choice award” of a  $50 gift card also will be presented.
