Come to meet and greet other moms whose kids are your kids age and celebrate India's Independence day next Thursday from 5pm - 7pm at the Elephant Park opposite Morton Williams, Newport Jersey City.

5-6pm - Meet and greet other moms with kids ages 0-12 months, 12-18 months, 18 months -36 months and onwards (Please arrive 15 mins in advance for this part of the event). I need volunteers from each group for this.

6pm - 7pm - Performances on patriotic/Indian songs, dances etc. Each kid/team will get up to 4 mins (Please have your kid sign up by writing to me at supriyajha@yahoo.com; I will need details on what he/she will be doing) Team from www.jerseytarana.com will be signing National Anthem of India so please rehearse the song at home so you can join along.

Dress up Indian or as close to Indian as you can:) Kids dressed up as Indian heroes can up to stage and introduce themselves.
In case it rains the event will move to Friday, Aug 16, 5-7pm
