On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, neighborhoods throughout Jersey City are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities for the annual "National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event. The event is also intended to promote police community partnerships, violence prevention, safety and neighborhood unity.
The event is a fun, family oriented event with an emphasis on Officers and the community interacting with one another, getting to know your neighbors, and preventing crime. We encourage everyone to take time out of their day on August 2nd and visit any one of the parks - meet the local Officers, meet your community, meet your neighbors, get crime prevention tips, and enjoy the event.
Meet local JCPD Officers, meet your community, meet your neighbors, get crime prevention tips, and enjoy the event.
There will be free food, water, give-aways, music, and entertainment.
The East District's National Night Out event will be at Hamilton Park from 6:30-9:00 p.m.
