DESCRIPTION:\r\n\r\nEveryone is welcome and encouraged to participate 
 in this year’s National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1st. The Jersey
  City Police Department will host the annual community-building event 
 6:30pm-9:30pm at 4 different locations: Audobon Park, Arlington Park, 
 Hamilton Park & Pershing Field. Each park will have a DJ and other li
 ve music, food, beverages, giveaways for kids, bounce houses, and othe
 r materials to promote safety awareness from participating local and c
 ommunity organizations.The annual National Night Out campaign was esta
 blished in 1984 to strengthen police and community relations under pos
 itive circumstances. In Jersey City the event has become part of a gre
 ater effort by the Fulop administration to help the police department 
 connect with residents through these types of programs as well as incr
 easing police presence, opening lines of communication, and easier acc
 ess to police for help.Millions of neighborhoods nationwide participat
 e in “America’s Night Out Against Crime.” So feel free to join u
 s next Tuesday, August 1st for a night of family fun while getting to
