Event Description
January 18-20 is Robots Rule Weekend at Liberty Science Center! Throughout the holiday weekend, celebrate the art and science of robotics with bonus fun on every floor.
Kick off your visit by taking a selfie with R2D2 and exploring the future of flight when you check out Kitty Hawk’s “The Flyer,” a single-seat aerial vehicle that can fly 10 feet over water.
From there, head to the second floor and explore the work of our artist-in-residence, Chico MacMurtrie. A creative, innovative robotics expert, MacMurtrie is working on his “Border Crossers” series here at LSC.
Visit Drone Academy to try your hand at flying a micro drone through our obstacle course, and program a robotic mouse to travel through a maze at the MouseBots lab!
Don’t miss the fun all weekend at LSC! Our adventures also include meet-and-greets with Buddy the T-Rex, life-size Angry Birds games, thrilling shows in the planetarium, and more.
