Event Description

I  posted the first part of the five-series blogs on Mathematics and its connection with Logic, that will make mathematics "delicious" and fun. It is a way for parents to understand how I "think" of mathematics and how I teach and learn it with my students. Please check out the blog if you would like to know about my approach in mathematics; I hope it could be helpful in your experience teaching and leaning mathematics with your child.

The Fall Math and Logic class is still on until December 17, 2016. There will be a TRIAL CLASS this Sunday, 11/6/16. The class size is kept very small, 4 students for first ands second graders, and 5 students for third and fourth graders.

The trial class is 30 minutes. RSVP is a MUST to help me keeping the trial class at 5 students maximum to guarantee the quality of learning during the trial class.

This story is simple; yet, it will have so many components that could have your child think of a certain event in different ways and think on how to "solve problems" based on the child's understanding on a particular part of an event.

When Lisa was five years old, her older brother was eight. Now, six years later, how old is Lisa and how old is her older brother? What would be the total age if we combined Lisa's and her older brother's age together ?

Isn't' it fun? :) Math ought to be "fun"…as even at its core of simplicity, precision is obtained.

As William Paul Thurston's quote said:

" Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about UNDERSTANDING."

Have a wonderful day and hope to see you on the trial class!
