SUMMARY:Trial Math and Logic Class ( 11/6 and 11/20 of 2016)
DESCRIPTION:Yesterday, I came across this beautiful quote about mathem
atics and thought to share it with you; it came from Sofia Kovalevskay
a, and she said it brilliantly:\n\" Many who have had an opportunity o
f knowing anymore about mathematics confuse it with arithmetic, and co
nsider it an arid science. In reality, however, it is a science which
requires a great amount of imagination.\"\n\nThat is mathematics; it i
s ought to be fun and entertaining and simple as in its core of the mo
st basic of any mathematics, the idea of precision is always intact wi
th it. To reach a precision, we need a great amount of imagination. \
nImagine is we could send this message to our children! Our children t
hought imagination belongs to art class; they seldom and probably woul
d never thought that imagination is also applied in math. Why? most ti
mes, math is conducted in a very technical way, hence it could be some
what misinterpreted as a \"boring and hard\" subject.\n\nI LOVE mathem
atics! I am learning and teaching mathematics through LOGIC, which is
defined as a thinking process, step by step, that will get through my
students to go beyond knowing to the understanding of a mathematical c
oncept. When a student goes beyond knowing the concept, a student will
be more daring to use his/her imagination in coming up with problem s
olving. To me, the right answer ought to be the result of mathematics
and not the goal of learning mathematics. That way, the imagination of
how to learn math is opened up and mathematics become more fun and en
tertaining.\n\nI can write for pages about it. If you want your child
to experience on how I teach and learn mathematics in the classroom, p
lease join me on the 30-minutes trial class.\n\nDates: November 6, Nov
 ember 20, and November 27, 2016.\nTime : 10:30 -11:00am ( First Grade
