Divya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey, with a Masters in Social Work from Fordham University, and Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Windsor, Canada. Divya has over 10 years experience as a therapist and developmental interventionist at Newark Beth Israel Hospital, YWCA of Union County, Hudson Milestones, Trinitas Hospital and Jersey City Medical Center. Divya’s background also includes providing individual and group therapy to adults and children with mental health issues, and survivors of domestic violence. Divya has started her private practice in Jersey City which focuses on providing individual, couples, family and group counseling for adults and children. Divya also provides in-home services such as Developmental Evaluation for children, Family assessments, parental coaching and one-on-one therapeutic interventions for children and families. Divya also specializes in motherhood challenges for SAHM as well as Workforce Mothers, trauma, role clarification, and family interactions.

Divya has successfully completed a 12-week parenting group, and is now working with Individuals as well as Families focusing on issues such as Divorce/Separation Therapy, Clinical Depression, Anxiety Issues and Grief Therapy. Divya also works with private school systems, provides in-class evaluations and therapeutic interventions within the classrooms for children with developmental delays and behavior issues.
