Full Time -- Sr. Accountant

$80-90k full time role for a NYC growth stage e-commerce start up. Looking for a client-facing candidate who knows the ins and outs of financial statements. This person will own the accounting process including journal entries and reconciliations. Must be able to handle tight timelines. Audit experience a plus.This person will report into the Controller. There must be a progression on the resume and a willingness to work in a start-up type of environment.

Full Time --- Sr. Accountant $80-100k full time role. We are looking for an entrepreneurially-minded finance professional with strong training in accounting and the desire to expand his or her skills to learn.

Role Responsibilities: Day-to-day management of books and records of the business; QuickBooks Online and Salesforce experience preferred

Work directly with CFO to design, implement and optimize processes for financial reporting. Provide thought leadership around bespoke analysis, process improvement and highlighting pertinent issues. Strategic analysis for various investment opportunities and other non-organic initiatives. Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Summarize current financial status by collecting information; prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements. Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Act as primary liaison with our tax firm on all tax matters
