4,100 children under the age of 5 die EVERY DAY by drinking contaminated water (mainly due to diarrhea) – I have decided to help. I cannot imagine the pain parents go through helplessly watching their child die in their arms even before they could celebrate his 5th birthday. One child will continue to die every 21 seconds unless you help.
My friends daughter Kyna’s second birthday is around the corner (June 10th) but this time instead of spending money on a birthday party they are trying to raise money for Charity: Water. This charity focuses on providing rural communities with their first access to clean water (these poor people have never seen clean water before).
Here is a link to Kyna’s birthday campaign https://my.charitywater.org/kyna and we would just love for you to join us.
Most of us have never really been thirsty. We've never had to leave our houses and walk five miles to fetch water. We simply turn on the tap, and water comes out. Clean. Yet there are 748 million people on the planet who don't have access to clean water. They are planning to raise $10,000 by end of this month – enough to bring a small community of 500 people access to safe drinking water. What's really cool about charity: water is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water project costs in the field (they will also send us the proof and the GPS coordinates).
If you plan to donate to this cause than please head over to https://my.charitywater.org/kyna
They have a facebook page where they send out campaign updates https://www.facebook.com/KynasGoal
If you drink water – please consider donating (and request your friends to do the same)
