Classes Start on May 28, 2014, and conveniently held in Hoboken, downtown JC,
and lower Manhattan

TODS Book Club ( 2.5 through 3.5 years)
PRESCH Book Club ( 3.5 years through 5 years )

Whether it is a dot or a purple crayon or a finger worm or a caterpillar or a mix and
match things, books provide special adventures and best yet, it will be different for every
mind. The classes use great children’s books combined with logic materials similar with
ones in OLSAT, NNAT, and CogAT to introduce literacy, mathematics, analogy,
relationship, synthesis, reasoning skills, and for children who come from English as
Second Language background, nonverbal tools such as shapes, figures to explain
nonverbal reasoning skills.

LOGIC To WRITING ( K-1, Grade 2 and 3, Grade 4)

MATHLICIOUS ( K-1, Grade 2 and 3, Grade 4)
The classes offer step-by-step approach to understand the logic of mathematical and
writing concepts, and combined it with logic materials similar with ones in OLSAT, NNAT,
and CogAT to introduce analogy, patterns, relationship, synthesis, and reasoning skills.I
am a believer that a strong understanding of the fundamentals is crucial for a
successful learning experience.

Besides the small class size to maintain the quality of each child’s learning experience,
additional focus are:
Focusing is not hocus pocus
Accompanying students with appropriate delivery and atmosphere to learn “focus”
Thinking is a learning process
Thinking is magical; like everything else magical, it requires practice and consistency
Seeing possibilities in learning as an open sea
Learning happens when we nurture the way students see possibilities in everything
Mistakes and Fall will and ought to happen
Students will encourage to embrace mistakes as it is a way to success
Entailing the understanding that tests are part of reality
Yet, they do not have to be the whole reality of learning
Sharing and Telling as a Tale
Providing an environment where students can communicate knowledge as stories
Putting what students know together
Knowledge is more meaningful when they are known as relationships,
and lastly,
Letting the students ROLL...with more confidence... “Oh, the Places You’ll Go”...

CIRCLE OF LIFE
I love to build a community of learners with the families I am working with; without
connection, the learning stops somewhere in an awkward place and it will be hard to
work harmoniously with the student’s best interests.I understand parents often times are
not provided with resources to guide the child with his/her learning experience. I offer
classes and conversation session with parents. In the class, parents learn the “how to”
connect with the minds of 2 or 3 or 5 or 6 years old; it will be the kind of class that
leaves you with “ EUREKA!” kind of energy. The main theme is “Possibility.” I see
parenting as a venue to offer what is possible and what needs to grow from us, as
adults, as parents, as humans, and it is not just one of our roles in this world.
