We need volunteers who can set up a box for collection outside their home and can receive the collections from tomorrow to Dec 1st. Please email supriyajha@yahoo.com to volunteer for this effort. This effort is being run in partnership with moms who live in Short Hills, NJ.

We have partnered with Children's Hope, India(http://www.childrenshopeindia.org/) - a registered NGO based out of NY. Two decades ago Children’s Hope India started out as a small group of women professionals hoping to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children in India. Now in 2014 Children’s Hope India has over 20 projects across India impacting over 250,000 children, looking after their health, education and vocational training. The most commendable part of the organization is that it is a 100% volunteer-run organization and so every bit of material and monetary donation made to and through them directly reaches those in need.
This season, we are hoping to support a couple of their programs by collecting some of your gently used warm clothing (please no torn or frayed clothes). While their projects support children upto the age of 15 who are indesperate need of clothing, they are currently also collecting warm clothes for adults who have suffered in the tragedy in Kashmir to support their needs this winter. Hence children and adult clothes will be ok. These clothes can be washed and put in garbage bags.
Donors can be assured that each piece of clothing they donate does indeed reach its destination and gets to the hands of someone who needs it. Our collection drive will run from Saturday November 22nd to Sunday December 21st.
We do hope that you will join us in our endeavor, which hopefully is the first of many more to come that we can support as a community heading towards the greater good.
