Dear Moms and Dads:

Have you ever wondered if your child is gifted?…I am here to tell you that every mind is a gift and "Gifted" is not an innate trait, rather it is a molded one. My book clubs do just that! It is NOT a test preparation, it is NOT a math class, it is NOT a reading and writing class; rather, it is a class to mold your child's mind to be logical, analytical, and critical--which is the very basis of a "gifted" mind, goes beyond, yet does not exclude math, reading, and writing. My book clubs use beautiful literatures and connect with with exercises and activities modeling the NNAT (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test), CogAT (Cognitive Ability Test), and OLSAT (Ottis Lennon School Abilities Test).

THINKERS' Book Club

The class is designed for children ages 2 through 4 years old; its main purpose is to introduce, mold, and build the logical, analytical, and critical minds. Maximum attendance is 4 children per class to ensure the quality of learning experience and individualized attention knowing that building focus and staying still are the two main challenges for this developmental ages. Homework is assigned to enhance and follow up of what has learned in the class. THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF CLASS; parents/caretakers must be present in the waiting room.

Schedules: Tuesdays: 9:30am-10:00am (2-3 years old)

                                                 10:15am-10:45am (2-3 years old)

                                                 11:00am-11:45am (3-4 years old)

DIALOGUERS' Book Club

The class is designed for children in Kindergarten through third grade. Developmentally, our focus shifts from building to communicating and creating dialogues, verbally and in writing, in logical, analytical, and critical manner; and, to build and (or) strengthened perspective-taking skills as it is proven to be one of the main factors to nurture the logical, analytical, ad critical mind. Class size is limited to 5 students to maintain the quality of learning and dialogue between students and myself in the class. The length of the class is one hour-50 minutes class time and 10 minutes of review and Q&A.  Homework is assigned to enhance and follow up of what has learned in the class.

Schedules: Mondays: 3:30-4:30pm ( K-1)

                                                 4:45-5:45pm (2-3)

We offer parental workshops and consultation to empower parents and complete the circle of successful learning. From 19 years of experience, successful nurturing "gifted" minds come from active parental participations and close collaborations between parents and I.

A package of parental consultation and children' class is available; parental workshops are also available.

Chandra Budi, Ph.D is a chid with a body and age of an adult. She enjoys her life created, with and by, her students in the classrooms for the past 19 years; in these years, she believes that every mind is a gift and it is entirely up to us to nurture is as gifted. She has an advanced degree from an Ivy League Institution in the East Coast, specializing in early childhood education combined with family studies and philosophy of education. She believes that family is a foundation of every child's emotional and cognitive development, and philosophy is an important aspect in maneuvering learning experiences outside and inside classrooms. As an educator, she believes that a landscape of teaching comes from a whole self, which includes intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. She is an active member of NAEYC ( National Association of the Education of Young Children), nationally and chapters of New Jersey and New York; she is an active researcher and lecturer, and hoping to publish her first book in two years. Her recent adventure in young minds' classroom is conducting Early Logic/Math class for SchoolPlus on Saturday mornings. Her belief is eery child's mind is a gift and her question is, "would we want to nurture it as gifted?"
