What age groups does the school cover?
K-5 in 2015-16. The school will expand one grade level per year through grade 12.
What is the teaching methodology that the school follows?
Our teachers follow a research-based, experience-tested set of carefully formulated and sequenced intermediate learning objectives that can be used to guide instruction towards mastery of New Jersey’s year-end learning objectives for each grade level. These carefully sequenced intermediate learning objectives, which are called “points,” are used by our teachers to guide classroom instruction and pacing. Our teachers are equipped with effective and easily administered formative assessments that enable us, on a week-by-week basis, to see how thoroughly our students have mastered the week’s critical learning objectives so we can immediately provide students with extra assistance or tutoring when it is needed, and prevent their falling behind and becoming frustrated.
Are there any extra-curricular activities that the students participate in on a daily basis within the school premises?
During the school day our students participate in Music, Art, Gym, Spanish, Character Ed and Technology classes. We offer a broad array of afterschool extra-curricular activities each trimester including such activities as soccer, basketball, art, drama, Brick-4-Kidz, jewelry making and more. These activities meet once a week. We also offer a daily AfterCare Program for a fee.
