I buy Ronnybrook farm milk from Fresh Direct, they are in Hudson Valley, NY... it is NOT organic, because they say it is too expensive to get certified. But the cows are free roaming and the grass is not treated with pesticides. It is also non-homogenized... the whole milk actually has a layer of thick cream on top (similar to Gokul in Bombay/India). The skim is awesome too. They will not expand to areas that their trucks cant go and come back the same day, so I would say they are local.

Freshdirect carries it for $3.59-3.69 half gallon, locally Sobsey's in Hoboken carries it and it's like $12 a gallon.

Other than Shoprite, most organic milk is ultra pasteurized, and I am not a big fan of milk that won't spoil for 3 months :) Ronnybrook's is fresh, and low pasteurized, so it won't last more than a week. But we finish it quickly :)

Hope this helps.
