To all NYC Parents:

Finding someone you trust to care for your child(ren) while you go to work is one of the toughest things a parent can do. If my youngest didn't start school full-time this Jan, we would not let go of our nanny of almost 5 years. But it is time to say goodbye to Mala and help her find a new family to love and care for full-time.

As working parents, we felt pride and relief to hear from multiple people, on multiple occasions, how amazing Mala is. She moved with us twice, so we have plenty of "neighbors" and "teachers" happy to share (unsolicited!) how great Mala is with our children. Complete strangers have stopped me in the street and at the park to tell me this as well. I mention this because I haven't heard any other parents say that about their caregivers!

Mala is one of the most patient and caring people we have ever met. Her quiet demeanor is deceiving because she has an amazing ability to get everyone to give her the utmost respect. Our two children (older daughter and younger son) have been with Mala their entire lives and perceive her not only as their care taker/teacher, but as their friend. Perhaps most importantly, she encourages our children to be kind and makes them feel exceptional.

Mala is fantastic with scheduling, preparing healthy meals, bathing, kids laundry, running light errands, taking kids to play dates/park/museums/classes/school, potty training, gentle (but effective) disciplining, etc. Mala will work with you and help accommodate your needs so that the "work" is all done by the time you come home because she wants you to have only "quality" time with them when you come home.

If you are looking for a new full-time nanny, look no more. I am happy to answer any questions you may have if emailed or called me directly. I (Melissa) can be reached @ 917-723-4540 . If you want to contact Mala directly, she can be reached at shown contact info: 347-724-4914

Thank you, and good luck with your search.

My previous nanny, Tsenden is looking for a part time/full time baby sitting position in the Newport/Jersey City area. We can't say enough good things about her. She is very reliable, honest, patient and affectionate. She took care of my daughter from when she was 3 months old till a year and half. Tsenden is always cheerful and engaged my daughter well by taking her to parks, playrooms. Never got late to work or took a day off without enough advance notice. Tsenden helped me with Indian cooking and cleaning-laundry as well. I must say, with her around I knew my baby was in safe and loving hands and I could resume work without any tension. Unfortunately she had to visit her family in Nepal after the earthquake and need to take 3 months off. I was sad to see her go, but had to get someone else as I couldn't manage that long without help.

Please contact her on her cell at 347 458 9870 if you are looking for someone trustworthy as a baby sitter.

Happy to answer any questions you may have.

DO NOT RECOMMEND Ramandeep Kaur (Raman)  as a babysitter. She has no prior experience and needed to be reminded several times through the day of her daily work. Forgot to feed our LO once and did not think his playing/eating batteries was anything wrong. We luckily caught it on camera. On one occasion, tried to hide her severe flu until we were home one day and found out. Not very cautious about the LO. She quit without notice when we pointed all this stuff. We made a mistake of hiring her without referral, she will probably do the same.

I would like to recommend Bharati, who works with me as a cook and occasional babysitting on weekends. She was taking care of my neighbors twins fulltime, until they were old enough for playschool. Though she comes in only for a few hours to my place, I have seen her interaction with my children I 1 year and 3 year olds) and know that she is  a kind and caring caretaker, especially for younger babies. She is looking for full time work during the week. You can reach her at 551-358-5470.  I can be reached for any specific questions you have for me about her at 201-988-9355.
