As per my knowledge , it ranges from $9 -$12 , average and most indian nannies work for $10/hr .

It goes higher with education level, profession etc.

Thanks Preeti. If it is hourly than do they also get paid for long weekend holiday or when family has gone on vacation for couple of weeks. Do you know. Really appreciate your help.

I tried to search the survey on Newport mommy but could not find it.

Hi,

Can someone please let me know if the nanny is paid per hour, then do they also get paid when family has gone on vacation and for how many hours they get paid.

usually 10-12 $ per hour. There is no standard for vacation payment. It depends on the agreement you make with your nanny. Usually for a shorter vacation you pay them the full amount whereas when you go for longer ones you pay them half the payment to retain them.
