Hello mommies,
If you are looking to hire Vandana Parikh, please feel free to reach out to me for reference. I will not say do not hire her. She may be okay for you but she did not work for me.
She started trial at my place on May 26 and started full time on June 1 and I fired her on June 3.
I let her go because I saw/heard (on the camera) her talking to someone on the phone - she was basically looking for another job and complaining about my 8 mo old daughter. Her complaint was that my daughter cries a lot ( stranger anxiety given she just started as her nanny), does not drink milk and does not nap ( teething?) and that she is tired and so she is looking for another job where she can rest (?). And she did not tell that to me. So she was planning on leaving as soon as she found another job!
What are the main responsibilities of a nanny?
- To feed the baby
- To calm/distract a crying baby because babies will cry!!!
Before she started, she said that I need to give her 1 month notice before I let her go and I NEED to find another job for her. Ironically, these nannies can leave and do leave without any notice.
And then yesterday I got a call from some random nanny who said she knows everything about me because she heard a nanny complaining about my daughter in the train. And those who know my daughter say she is very smiling and social- not a cry baby. So she has been bad mouthing about my 8 mo old!
Leave all that aside, the question is whether she was performing her nanny responsibilities dutifully or not. Would I recommend her ? NO. She was unable to pacify my daughter who cried all day, she was unable to feed her, and she does not take instructions well.
Thanks.
