Schooling for my 2yo

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the area and a first time mom so I'm really unsure of how schooling work in this area. My daughter is 2+ (June 2013 born)..I currently stay at home with her but I want to know what my options are for sending her to part-time or full-time school. When should I start looking/enrolling and what are my best options for free programs? We live in Newport but can commute if needed. Thanks!

Welcome to the neighborhood. I would highly recommend that you look into two options – home-based activity centers which are typically part-time options or established full-time daycares. We have a list of the daycares under the local resources.

My personal recommendation, given the fact that you are a  stay-at-home mother, will be that you send her for part-time options where you don't have to spend as much money as you would in a full-time program. Free programs which are provided by the public school system start at age 3. A full time program at this age will cost anywhere from $1200 to $2000. Whereas a part-time program could be charged by the hour starting at $12 per hour. 

We are doing a free school fair event on October  14 where the public schools and some daycares/activity centers will be coming as well. You should definitely attend that event and learn about your options from them at this event.

My daughter is about the same age as yours ( July 2013).. I just started her 2 days back on a home based day care - Vibgyor. They have a part time program from 9 to 12 and I got good feedback from many parents who are sending their kids here...I am also quite happy so far..their contact is 201 377 1618- Vinny Kumar...check it out...
