July 4th Macy's Fireworks moves back to East River

If you haven't heard the news already, I feel bad breaking it to you - The famous and spectacular Macy's 4th of July fireworks is moving back to East River ( i.e. the side of Manhattan that is not visible to us in Newport).

Kicking off the Summer Season with Pools & Park Sprinklers

The office of the mayor along with the Department of Recreation, has started the summer recreation season with the kickoff of the outdoor basketball, tennis, and volleyball leagues, as well as the opening of two outdoor pools, seven indoor pools, and sprinklers at 13 parks throughout Jersey City for youth and adults to cool off during the summer months.
